Recent Ministry & Missions
Mission Malawi
Sean Stockwell ministered in areas near Blantyre, Malawi with our NEST (National Evangelist Support Team) team in March. Speaking in large local schools in the Chiladzulo and Thyolo Districts, Sean and the team presented the Gospel to more than 40,000 people, with over 30,000 making professions of faith in Christ! Pray with us for these new believers, that the Truth of the Gospel will be planted in "good soil" and that they will truly seek to love and follow Jesus with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.
Our NEST Malawi leader Mark did a super job setting up school programs for this mission. Mark has also established a network of Christian teachers in numerous schools, who are serving as mentors to students who are seeking to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. These mentors are helping Mark and the NEST Malawi team with discipleship and follow-up.
We are so grateful for the faithfulness and hard work of our NEST team members; pray with us that God will continue to anoint them with the Holy Spirit and give them power to preach the Gospel in their communities and beyond!
Mission Zimbabwe
Sean Stockwell lead a mission in Zimbabwe, where he and our NEST Zimbabwe team presented the Gospel to more than 10,000 students and administrators in local schools, and saw over 8,000 people make public indication of their desire to repent from sin and follow Christ God is working in Zimbabwe! Pray for those who will facilitate the work of discipleship and follow-up in these schools!
Acts 1:8 ~ "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
John 14:6 ~ "Jesus said to him, 'I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
John 11:25-26 ~Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die…”
Mission South Africa
Over 50, 000 people heard a clear presentation of the Gospel through our mission teams at work in schools in Mpumalanga Province, throughout Kabokweni, Thulamahashe, Acornhoek and the Bushbuckridge area; thousands made public professions of faith, indicating their desire to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The July 2023 mission concluded conclude with a three-day crusade in the Thulamahashe New Stadium.
Our ministry partners continue the work of follow-up and discipleship in the schools and other areas where our mission was centered. Pray with us that God's Spirit will continue to be at work in the lives of those who heard the Gospel and prayed to receive Christ as Lord and Savior!
Jesus said in Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in...”
Jesus said, “He who hears My Word, and believes in Him Who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)
The scripture tells us in Romans 10:8-10, “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Mission Uganda
We are so joyful at what God did during our 2023 March mission in Uganda. Our sons, Sean and Steven Stockwell, got to spend much of last month ministering west of Kampala in the Gomba District. Several of the local leaders told our team that this outreach project was the first of its kind in their area; their enthusiasm and excitement was contagious!
In more than 70 schools in the area, through a leadership conference, and several crusade-style services, more than 20,000 people heard a clear presentation of the Gospel, and more than 12,000 students, teachers, parents, and others made the life-changing commitment to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Sean and Steven had a great time working with and training our NEST (National Evangelist Support Team) partners.
We are so grateful for the prayers of dear friends and family, as the team went out in the power and protection of the Holy Spirit; we continue to pray for all the people who have said YES to Jesus, and for our NEST teams in various countries, as they continue to reach and disciple people in their nations with this message of the Amazing Grace of God.
2023 Ministry Results ~ God has done great things!
Through special mission projects with our USA team in Uganda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, and the ongoing ministry of our NEST Team evangelists in various countries, DSEA was privileged to be able to:
Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 14 countries to 3,249,162 people.
Pray the Sinner’s Prayer with 2,360,133 people who publicly indicated their desire to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Provide 1,148 Food Parcels for 4,640 people.
Train 8,783 leaders in evangelistic ministry, discipleship, and leadership development.
Plant 10 churches internationally.
Distribute 413,593 New Testaments, 78,594 salvation tracts and 421 other discipleship resources.
Provide monthly support for our NEST Evangelist Teams, 62 men in 9 countries.
Provide support for missionaries and evangelistic organizations, widows, and orphans in several countries.
Provide leadership and service with our Texas and USA Southern Baptist Evangelist groups.
Joyfully lift up and proclaim the Name of Jesus Christ to people from all walks of life!
We rejoice in the great things God has done. Pray with us that He will continue to lead, guide, provide, and give us power to preach the Gospel with clarity and without compromise.
