About David

David Stockwell's ministry began at the age of 17, when he received Christ after attending a Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference and a city-wide crusade in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He immediately felt the call of evangelism on his life, and began preaching the Gospel across America in schools, churches, and a variety of public venues, and has reached millions of people around the world with a clear presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A powerful communicator of the Gospel and harvest evangelist, David has been privileged to preach the Gospel in more than twenty countries, including Bangladesh, Belize, Brazil, England, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nicaragua, The Philippines, Romania, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In more than fifty years of evangelistic ministry, David has seen hundreds of thousands of people pray to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, making public professions of faith in Christ and Christ alone.

David and his wife, Amy, are committed to the clear, uncompromising communication of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and serve God together in full-time evangelistic ministry.

A Special Message from David

A Message of Hope from David Stockwell

A Personal Word From David

My life verse is Romans 1:16:  “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes…”

The Gospel IS the power of God, which leads to salvation. If we are faithful to preach the Gospel, truthfully, clearly, unapologetically, with conviction, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, then we can be confident that we have done all we can to be true to the commandment of Jesus Christ found in Matthew 28:18-20. We at DSEA are depending upon Jesus, Who is utterly and completely faithful; His very Name is Faithful and True.

Stand with me, and stand with our ministry, as we seek to GO and TELL the wonderful Good News with the authority of Jesus Christ going out with us, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of this world. Then we will rejoice throughout all eternity in the mercy of Jesus Christ and the Father and the Holy Spirit, Who agreed together and saw fit to grant repentance to untold millions of sons and daughters, and allowed us to be part of His magnificent plan.

With love and joy in my heart, I want to share these words from a hymn that is very special to me, which expresses my heart and feelings so very well…

WHEN I SURVEY THE WONDROUS CROSS

When I Survey The Wondrous Cross
On which the Prince Of Glory died;
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ, my God;
All the vain things that charm me most
I sacrifice them to His blood.

See, from His head, His hands, His feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down;
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all!
